The seasoned izwe user (and there are a few) may have noticed some slight changes around the site last week and a few more this week. And if you are new then we'd like to point you towards:

New features:

- You can now view surveys, quick polls, call for ideas and conversations on the explore map

- View communities, groups and users on the community map (and it is optional for you to be displayed or not)

- There's now a live feed of actions on the new live map (and a snapshot on the home page)

- A pop up question on the home page now helps new users find their way by asking the question: “Do you want to help shape your community?”

- We have tidied up the feeds to use a common time format (letting you know how long ago something was posted)

- We have improved the look of what we call the “I” column (your personal navigation tool on the left of the screen) by adding a few icons here and there

- And of course we solved a few bugs too

What does this mean to you?

A better way of navigating the site to find content and communities around you.

What's next on our list?

Well we're currently hard at work on increasing the font size on the site. We're also making sure all the information displayed on maps is understandable and useful.

Then we've got a wish list over the next few weeks as long as the longest of arms but we're starting with:

- Making groups better: adding features and improving the way a group admin can create and manage content

- Introducing featured content to the home page so users (old and new) can find interesting content quicker

- Adding more help text around the site

As always if you have any feedback simply hit the tab in the bottom right of your screen or head over to our 'call for ideas'; to share your thoughts.
